6．Geoparks and Geoheritages, Hydrological-Engineering- Environmental Survey Results
BACK The Regional Institute of Environment & Resources Survey (Sichuan Geopark and geoheritages Survey and Assessment Center) is equipped with the earliest established domestic professional team that specializes in geopark and geoheritages survey and evaluation, scientific research, planning and design. In the past 15 years, the team has made great achievements in geoheritages survey and evaluation, geopark declaration, planning, design and construction and other fields. It ever participated in the formulation of industry codes including China National geopark Construction Technical Specification and Work Guidelines as well as China National geopark Planning, and presided over overall planning research for Sichuan geoheritages protection and geopark construction, Sichuan geoheritages survey and division and demonstration research, Jiuzhai-Huanglong Core Scenic Area geological environment survey, altogether more than 10 items of scientific research projects, and has completed the declarations of the geoparks in more than 40 locations including a large number of provincial, national and world-level geoparks in West China (See the chart below). With its notable performance and distinguished scientific research gains, the team has successively won “The Third Prize of Sichuan Sci-tech Advancement”, “The First Prize of Sichuan Sci-tech Advancement”, and “Outstanding Achievement Prize” awarded by China Geological Survey Bureau. The team remarkably contributes to our national geoheritages protection, geopark construction and ecological environment preservation. Meanwhile, it has delivered great many talents for industry guidance and cultivation.
